Are you ready to be the hero of your next Escape Room Era game?  Escape rooms are so much FUN no matter if you Escape or not, but there is something special about beating the clock and getting a stellar time at the end of the game.  If you want to create an environment for success, here’s some of our favorite tips on how to beat an escape room!

Work as a Team

Each of our many room themes are designed for people to work with each other in order to find and solve clues. These rooms aren’t designed to be played by one person, and the more you work together, the faster you will be!  Collaborate, communicate, and most importantly have a blast together and you will find you are much more successful than if you all try to succeed individually.

Be Organized

You will find so many puzzles, riddles, and clues in each room, so it’s important to keep track of everything!  Some of the most successful teams will choose a spot in the room to collect all their findings and this can be a really helpful way to not lose anything.  You also want to make sure you communicate with one another so that if each person finds a piece of a puzzle, you all know to bring them together!  Most rooms will have a whiteboard or a place to take notes, so feel free to jot down any ideas or codes you think are important.  Pro Tip:  When you unlock something, don’t lock it back!  We recommend leaving the lock unlocked in that location so you can easily see that it’s been opened already and not waste time trying to reopen it!

Keep an Eye on the Clock

Pacing is key in an escape room, and even a few minutes can make or break your final escape time!  If you find yourself stalled and haven’t made any progress in a few minutes, it might be time to ask for a hint or a clue.  If it seems like you still have a lot to open, you might need to divide and conquer!  Don’t forget, teamwork is key.
